"We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is only temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:18

Thought of the Week

As I sat down flipping through the pages of a organization to help poor children in a third-world country, the Holy Spirit beckoned my heart with two words "Trust Me". Tears rolled down my face as I read the testimony of the founder. "Several people told me that I would never make it to Haiti and that I was illusioned. How very grateful I am that I chose to trust in my God and not in my own abilities." This amazing woman started out with a brief case and had no idea how to even to begin helping the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Instead of hearing her own fears, instead of worrying, she only heard God's voice asking her to trust Him! Praise God for calling us to trust Him. Praise God because He gives us the faith to believe in Him and trust in Him. Praise God because this woman yielded to God's voice! Children in Haiti are now given the gospel, they were given hope.

How many times has God asked us for something and all He ever needs for us to do is trust Him. When God tells us to trust Him, He is asking us to surrender as His hand takes ours, and He leads. When we realize that He is leading, we do not have to worry because our Heavenly Father knows best! Let us trust Him. Let us surrender at His feet! Let us yield to His voice! It is until then He can use us, it is until we are not trying on our own, but solely depending on Him, it is when we become vessels for Him that He will use us for His glory!
